We began in the North West as a small group of consultant forensic psychiatrists. Today, we’re a nationwide clinical network with psychiatrists and psychologists based all over the country, trusted by solicitors and barristers across criminal, family and civil law. We’re called when the cases are complex, timeframes are tight, and stakes are high. It’s not just our name on the report – it’s our reputation on the line. That’s why we never miss.

milestones of MLUK

Founding year 2010

MLUK was established with the aim of providing high‑quality psychiatric reports for courts.

First report 2011

We produced our first psychiatric report, setting the standard for clarity and rigour that defines our work today.

Expansion phase 2015

Our services expanded beyond criminal cases to include family law and civil assessments, reflecting the growing recognition of the role mental health plays in all areas of justice.

Recognitions 2018

MLUK was acknowledged for excellence in expert witness services and continued to grow its network of clinicians across the UK.

Present day 2025

Our team now includes psychiatrists, psychologists, neuropsychologists and allied health professionals. We continue to innovate and advocate for compassionate, evidence-based reporting.
